Being a good or bad writer has never been my concern. Being paid, more so, but also, I’m not a schmoozer. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Looking at the perspective of an author who’s clung to the dead horse of a space opera while the characters inside want out. The issues of inspiration and imitation run thick and fast, but with more excellent kinetic energy of colour and warmth, you cannot love. Six seasons and a movie of an animated short!
Lottery, dir Chance Thomas Garcia
The National Lottery. I remember its launch and buying the ticket. It was £1. You can often see ads and slogans for community projects and arts funded by it. You can also see the plethora of desperate and vulnerable near the scratch cards at any supermarket. I was buying tobacco for my mum and noticed that some of them were as expensive as £10. My feelings for it darkened as I saw the fallout. Fallout is the sepia tint action in this dark post-nuclear family comedy. It is well-paced, awkward, and darkly absurd, but it brings those two points into sharp relief. If you get the chance, pick a number and see it soon
